Saudi Riyal rate in Bangladesh

The card above shows today’s 1 Saudi riyal (SAR) in taka as a market mid-rate. Families use it to sketch a wage credit from Saudi Arabia or a Hajj/Umrah budget. Banks, exchange houses and remittance apps still set their own buying and selling rates.

Why the riyal moves with the dollar

Saudi Arabia pegs the riyal to the US dollar at a fixed ratio. If Riyadh does not change that peg, a jump in USD/BDT usually moves SAR/BDT by a similar amount. That is why checking the dollar rate on the same day is useful for Gulf wages.

A Hajj or Umrah cash plan is a different job from a monthly wage transfer. Hajj package and registration rules are on the official Hajj portals and Hajj pre-registration. This page only converts riyal to taka.

  • The number on the card is a mid-market reference, halfway between typical buying and selling. It is not Bangladesh Bank’s published board.
  • When money is sent home, compare the “receiver gets” line in the bank or transfer app, not this midpoint alone.
  • After the taka lands, a bKash or Nagad cash-out fee is a separate cost.

Wage credit example

1,000 riyal into a Bangladesh account

A 1,000 riyal wage is credited to a Bangladesh bank account. Use today’s rate on the card for a live figure. The steps below only show the method.

  1. Taka ≈ 1,000 × the SAR rate on the card (or the rate in the bank SMS).
  2. The bank’s own spread can make the credited amount a little lower than that multiply.
  3. If the family will cash out through a wallet, subtract that fee after the conversion.

The converter above does the multiply at mid-market. The amount that actually arrives can differ. Hajj cash still belongs on the Hajj page.

Taka from riyal

BDT ≈ SAR amount × rate (card default, or the bank rate you type in)

  • Replace the live mid-rate if you already have a bank or booth quote.
  • A licensed remittance credit and a cash booth selling riyal notes are different prices.

FAQ

Is this Bangladesh Bank’s SAR rate?

No. This is a daily market mid-rate used as a reference. Bangladesh Bank and commercial banks publish their own boards. Use those for official paperwork.

Can I budget Hajj with this riyal rate?

You can convert a riyal amount to taka here. Hajj package prices and registration rules are on the official Hajj portals and the Hajj guide. A currency figure is not a Hajj payment.

Can I send riyal from this site?

No. getBangla only shows the rate and a calculator. Use a licensed bank or remittance service and read how much taka the receiver will get that day.
