Hajj pre-registration
Bangladesh publishes Hajj information and the applicable registration systems on government Hajj portals under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Which step is open — pre-registration, primary registration or final registration — depends on that season’s official notice. getBangla is an independent information site. It does not take Hajj applications or payments. Use only hajj.gov.bd and the official subdomains named in the current notice. A similar name on another domain is not the government system.

Usual sequence
For Hajj 2027 (1448 Hijri), the Ministry of Religious Affairs has already published notices on the e-Hajj portal, including a primary-registration notice (22 July 2026) and the Hajj package and guideline (21 July 2026). A 26 July 2026 ministry press release, carried by BSS, set primary registration from 27 July 2026 through 24 September 2026. On 11 September 2026 BSS reported a 9 September Hajj-2 notification that the deadline would not be extended. Read the latest notice on ehaj.hajj.gov.bd before you pay. This page cannot confirm that a window is still open on the day you apply.
- Read this season’s official notice — Age, companion (mahram), vaccination and deposit rules are season-specific. They are not the same every year, and they are not set by an old Facebook post. Use the government circular, notice or instruction for that Hajj. Do not assume a rule is in a gazette unless that year’s notice says so. Where a 2027 notice has not settled an item, this page does not invent one.
- Pre-register on the official system — Pre-registration (প্রাক-নিবন্ধন) is the earlier stage. hajj.gov.bd describes it for government management, online or at a listed assistance centre, and for private management through a Hajj agency. It is not the same as final registration. The pilgrim platform calls the application identifier a tracking number. It can appear on the pre-registration payment voucher, the pre-registration certificate, the registration voucher or the registration certificate — not only at one step. Keep whichever official paper shows it.
- Finish registration in the announced window — hajj.gov.bd describes registration in two stages: primary registration under the ministry notice, then final registration after the package is announced and the remaining amount is deposited. ehaj.hajj.gov.bd is where current notices are published and where the e-Hajj login sits. hajj.gov.bd is the management portal for steps, pilgrim search and payment instructions. They do not both “announce seats”. Government and private management are different paths on those systems. If the current window has not opened, or the published end date has passed, wait for the notice rather than treating the form as open.
- Keep the passport valid in time — Registration asks for a passport along with the pre-registration certificate, and the passport details should match the registration record. The 26 July 2026 press release required validity through 31 December 2027. On 17 September 2026 the ministry published a notice relaxing passport validity to help primary registration. Read that notice for the condition that applies now. This page does not invent a number of months. See the e-passport guide, and do not wait until flight lists are out.
Government and private management
| Path | What the official system says |
|---|---|
| Government management | Pre-registration and registration can be done by the pilgrim on the Hajj system, or with help at a centre the portal names: deputy commissioner office, Islamic Foundation, union information service centre, and the Director, Hajj Office, Ashkona, Dhaka. The 26 July 2026 press release said the government-path deposit uses a voucher at Sonali Bank. |
| Private management | The file goes through a Hajj agency. Pay only into the account the official process shows for that agency — the press release pointed to the agency profile on the Hajj portal. A person who only uses the words “Hajj agent” is not automatically authorised. |
| Package | Package price, what it includes, and the payment schedule come from that season’s guideline. For 2027 the ministry published “Hajj Package and Guideline 2027” on ehaj.hajj.gov.bd. This page does not copy a taka figure, because a package amount belongs on that notice and on the payment voucher. |
| Quota | How many pilgrims Bangladesh may send is announced for the season. On 11 September 2026 BSS reported a quota of 78,500 for Hajj 2027. If a later notice changes it, the notice wins. |
The Hajj portal’s standing help text still points some registration-fee lines at the 2025 primary-registration notice. For Hajj 2027, follow the 2027 notices on ehaj and the amount printed on your voucher.
Money and papers that get mixed up
- Hajj package prices, deposits, payment schedules and other money conditions are fixed for the applicable season and announced officially. The Hajj portal’s process pages currently show a pre-registration fee of Tk 30,000. The 26 July 2026 ministry press release also said pre-registration of Tk 30,000, then Tk 3,50,000 at primary registration, with the rest of the package due by 10 December 2026 for final registration. Match the voucher before you pay. This page is not a payment channel.
- A riyal-to-taka figure is only a currency reference. It is not an official Hajj payment. Pay the way the official Hajj system or the authorised process instructs.
- Prayer times in Makkah follow Saudi Arabia, not a Bangladesh district timetable. That link is only a Bangladesh timetable. It does not set Hajj dates or registration rules.
- Paying any person or organisation for Hajj without checking them through the authorised government process. Eligible Hajj-agency lists for 1448/2027 are published in phases on ehaj.hajj.gov.bd, and the portal can search an agency by licence number.
- Assuming someone is authorised only because they say “Hajj agent”.
- Handing over an OTP, password or other login secret.
- Treating getBangla as the Hajj registration platform. There is no application and no payment here.
- Leaving the passport until the last moment. Check the validity the current notice requires, and that the name and number match the registration.

FAQ
Can I apply for Hajj on getBangla?
No. getBangla does not accept Hajj applications or payments. Use the official government Hajj system, or the authorised Hajj process, for that season. Not every step is online. Government management can also be done at the assistance centres named on hajj.gov.bd.
Government or private — which URL?
There is not one URL for both. hajj.gov.bd is the Hajj management portal for steps and pilgrim search. ehaj.hajj.gov.bd publishes the current notices and hosts the e-Hajj login. Government management can be completed by the pilgrim on that system or at a listed centre. Private management goes through an agency whose licence you can check on the e-Hajj portal. pilgrim.hajj.gov.bd is an older pre-registration platform, not the current notice board.
Is this year’s fee listed here?
No fixed package price is printed on this page. For Hajj 2027, package amounts are in the ministry guideline on ehaj.hajj.gov.bd. The Hajj portal currently shows a pre-registration fee, and the 26 July 2026 press release described the primary-registration deposit. Pay the amount on the official voucher for your season, not a figure copied from social media.
Is Umrah the same?
No. Hajj and Umrah are different pilgrimages, with different timing, rules and administration. A Bangladesh Hajj registration is not an Umrah registration. Umrah travel follows the applicable Saudi and Bangladesh rules and an authorised travel process. The ministry also publishes separate Umrah-agency lists.
Are pre-registration and final registration the same?
No. Pre-registration is the earlier stage and produces its own certificate. hajj.gov.bd then describes registration in two further stages: primary registration under the ministry notice, and final registration after the remaining package amount is deposited. Being pre-registered does not by itself mean you are registered for that Hajj.
How long must the passport stay valid for Hajj?
Use the validity in the current notice. The 26 July 2026 press release required a passport valid until 31 December 2027. A 17 September 2026 ministry notice relaxed that condition for primary registration. This page does not state a new number of months. The passport number and name should match the registration record.
Where is the Hajj money deposited?
Not on getBangla. Follow the payment instruction in the official Hajj system. The 26 July 2026 press release said government-management pilgrims deposit through a Sonali Bank voucher, and private-management pilgrims deposit to the agency account shown on that agency’s Hajj-portal profile. Do not transfer money to a personal account because someone claims to be an agent.
Which papers does Hajj registration ask for?
On hajj.gov.bd, pre-registration asks for an NID or passport for a pilgrim aged 18 or over, and a birth registration for someone under 18. Non-resident Bangladeshis are asked for a birth registration or passport, plus a work permit or driving licence. Registration then asks for the pre-registration certificate and the passport. The season’s notice can add other papers. The 18-year line is about which identity document the form asks for. It is not, by itself, the rule on who may travel.
How do I check a private Hajj agency?
Use the eligible-agency lists the ministry publishes on ehaj.hajj.gov.bd for that Hajj, and the agency search on the e-Hajj portal (licence number, or the search on hajj.gov.bd). Do not rely on a similar name, a social-media page, or the words “Hajj agent”.
Where are the vaccine and health conditions?
In the current ministry health instruction and on the official portal, not on getBangla. The Hajj portal’s post-registration steps describe a medical exam at a government hospital and meningitis and influenza vaccines at the announced centre. The 26 July 2026 press release also listed medical limits, including that no one under 15 would go for Hajj 2027, and limits for some chronic illnesses and late pregnancy. A later health notice can change the list. Companion (mahram) rules were not set out as a general rule in the 2027 notices checked for this page. If a notice adds one, that notice applies.
