UAE Dirham rate in Bangladesh
The card above shows today’s 1 UAE dirham (AED) in taka as a market mid-rate. Use it to sketch a wage sent from Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Banks, exchange houses and remittance apps still quote their own buying and selling rates — compare the taka that actually reaches the receiver.

How to read this dirham rate
The number on the card is a mid-market rate: a midpoint between typical buying and selling prices. It is a reference, not Bangladesh Bank’s published board and not the rate a teller will type for you.
A bank, exchange house, card issuer or remittance service adds its own spread and fees. You may receive less — or occasionally a different figure — than a simple multiply from this page. For wages sent from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, the amount credited in Bangladesh is what matters.
- The UAE dirham is pegged to the US dollar at a fixed ratio. When USD/BDT moves, AED/BDT usually moves with it. Check the dollar rate on the same day if you want both figures.
- If you are sending money home, compare the “receiver gets” line in the bank or transfer app — not this mid-rate alone.
- For official paperwork, use Bangladesh Bank or your bank’s published rate, not this reference number.
Worked conversion
AED to taka (mid-market vs actual quote)
You will send 2,000 dirham from Dubai. Use today’s rate on the card above for a live figure. The numbers below are only a worked example of the method.
- Mid-market calculation: taka ≈ dirham × the rate on the card. If the card showed 1 AED = ৳33.58, then 100 AED = ৳3,358 and 2,000 AED = ৳67,160.
- A UAE exchange house, a Bangladesh bank credit, and a cash payout can each use a different rate. Do not treat those as the same quote.
- If the last step is a wallet cash-out, subtract bKash/Nagad charges after the currency conversion.
The converter uses the mid-market rate. The rate a bank, exchange or remittance service actually applies can differ. Compare the taka that lands with the receiver.
Taka from dirham
BDT ≈ AED amount × rate (card default, or the bank/exchange rate you type in)
- The converter starts from the live mid-market rate. Replace it if you already have a bank or booth quote.
- Cash booth, licensed money-changer and wage remittance are different prices for the same AED code.

FAQ
Is this Bangladesh Bank’s AED rate?
No. The figure here is a market mid-rate used as a reference. Bangladesh Bank and commercial banks publish their own buying and selling boards. Use those boards for official paperwork, not this page.
Why is the booth selling rate worse?
A booth sells you notes. The gap between its buying and selling rates — the spread — is how it covers rent, cash handling and a margin. Mid-market is a midpoint, not an offer to sell dirham. So the selling rate you see at a booth is usually less favourable than this reference.
Can I send AED from this site?
No. getBangla only shows rates and a calculator. It does not transfer money. Use a licensed bank or remittance service, and confirm how much taka the receiver will get that day.
